If an existing format, the sorting or index order has been changed the internal stored version of the accession number in each object must be rebuilt.
The Accession Number Format Rebuild is a potentially lengthy process that shouldn't be carried out unless absolutely necessary.
To do an Accession Number Format Rebuild:
1.Use the Tools menu > System Maintenance > Accession Number Tool > Accession Number Format Rebuild.
2.Answer 'Yes' to the warning message.
3.Choose whether you want to rebuild the index afterward or not and click 'OK'.
It is important that all other users be logged out of Vernon CMS for the entire duration of the Rebuild process. Read the section on the User lockout tool for assistance.
