Vernon CMS is a database made of mini databases. These are called Datafiles. Each Datafile has windows that group fields together based on a theme e.g. condition of an object based fields are on the Object > Condition window.

To open a window, double-click on it in the Navigator. You can also access windows via the Database menu in the toolbar.

There are a range of different types of fields for recording different types of data. You can see the type of field you are in by looking at the bottom right of the screen.

If you need to open any datafile not listed in the Navigator, you can go to Database > Other Files and enter the name of the datafile into the Other Files field.
