Some objects can be very sensitive to light. Over time, exposure to ultra-violet rays can cause damage to objects (such as fading or increased brittleness). Paint, dyes, and plastic can be the most sensitive to light damage. You can measure the amount of light (lux units) with a lux meter.
You can record and track the amount of lux an object experiences in the Object Condition & Treatment window.
There are three ways that you can record light exposure:
1.Record the average lux for locations and calculate an object's lux hours by its Location History.
2.Record a period of light exposure for an object unrelated to the Location History with the Override table.
3.Modify the light exposure calculated for objects in a Packing Unit by entering a Transparency percentage.
