Default Images for Vernon Browser Export

Scroll More

WHAT IT'S USED FOR:

The two default Image fields are used to specify particular default images that you want published in Vernon Browser when the record image is absent for some reason.

You can have a separate default image for each of the two situations in which an image-less record may occur:

othe AV record may not be published - enter a default AV record in Records below publication level

othere is no AV record attached in Vernon CMS - enter a default record in Records with no image

As the default image(s) will appear for every record without an image, regardless of the type of record, this image should either be very general, or simply be a sign explaining the situation.

In versions prior to 1.3 these are Photo/AV records. In 1.3 and after, these are direct references to an image file on disk.

Make sure that any Photo/AV records that you create for this purpose in Vernon CMS have private and public publication/access.

Specifying a default image for records with images is not mandatory. If you do not, image-less records will appear with a link to the Detail view for that record.

WHERE TO FIND IT:

The Images page of the Vernon Browser Advanced Configuration window.

HOW TO USE IT:

In Vernon Browser versions 1.3 onward this is a text field with the filename path for a particular image file on disk.

In Vernon Browser versions prior to 1.3, these fields are controlled by the Photo/AV file.

Simply enter the term (or its System ID) in the field if you know it. If you enter the term incorrectly, or if there is more than one matching term, the Authority Search Window will appear, allowing you to select or search for a term.

You can also click on the Options Button (or press [Alt + Down Arrow]) to select a term if terms have already been created, or create an new record as required.

Remember that Search Operators are useful search tools, and can be used in any authority controlled field.
