The Test box is located in the bottom right corner of the User Symbolics window. You can use this to test any User Symbolic field, to see what your result will be.

Test a User Symbolic
1.Select the User Symbolic you would like to test.
2.Enter a record to use for the test in the Sample Record field.
You can click the Options button 
in the Sample Record field to open Advanced Search to help you search for a sample record.
3. The Conversion checkbox is ticked by default. To receive the test result as raw data, untick this checkbox.
4. If you are testing a User Symbolic for sorting, tick the Sort Value checkbox. This will show you how the result will be converted for sorting.
5. Click Calculate. The result will be displayed in the Test Result box.
If you do not get the desired result, you can edit the User Symbolic's configuration. Save changes once you are satisfied.
