Setting up a new Workstation

When you need Vernon CMS to run on a new workstation, follow these instructions.

 

1.Log on to the workstation using a log on with full administrator rights. If you do not usually have full administrator rights, you may need to get your IT staff to arrange this for you.

2.Navigate to your Wincoll folder on the server. This is the folder that contains all of the Vernon CMS files.

3.Go to Wincoll/Client, and right click on VCMS-ClientSetup.exe and choose Run as Administrator.

4.Choose the options to set up on the workstation.

a.The Vernon CMS Components item is mandatory.

b.The Desktop Icon will install a shortcut icon on the desktop to launch Vernon CMS.

c.The Start Menu option will create a Programs submenu called 'Vernon Systems'.

d.If Disable Ghosting is ticked, Vernon CMS  will not white-out when 'Not Responding'.

5.When the Vernon CMS Client Setup asks you for the Vernon CMS Locations, enter the Location of the Wincoll folder.

6.Click the Setup button to complete the installation.
