Next Higher Record in Group records the group or higher record that the object you have open belongs to. For example, if this record is a photograph that is part of an album, the album's record may be listed in the Next Higher Record in Group field for all the photographs within it. This field is often used in archival collections to record the structure between Groups, Files, and Items.
