You can define how text fields are sorted.

Text fields are not generally used for searching

Often, sites want to set preferences for sorting with:

Apostrophes.

Mc or Mac.

A, An or The.

hyphens.

Roman Numerals.

You can for example, replaces apostrophes or the initial A, An, or The with nothing. Names such as O'Rourke would be sorted as OROURKE, and the title "A Black Cat" will be sorted as BLACKCAT.

Replacements are not case sensitive.

To change Text Sorting

1.Go to Tools menu > System Maintenance > Text Sorting.
