You can sort roman numerals by their numeric equivalent.

1.Go to Tools menu > System Maintenance > Text Sorting.

2.Click on the File drop-down menu and select the name of the datafile.

3.Click on the Field drop-down menu and select name of the field. If the field has text sorting, details will appear on screen.

4.Click in the Replace Mode field and choose Replace Roman Numerals. Leave the Search String and Replace string fields empty.

5.If you don't want to convert roman numerals below a certain value, enter the value in the Roman Numeral Sorting field below the table.

6.Save the record.
