1.Go to Tools menu > System Maintenance > Security Tool > Users.
The Security User window.
2.Type in a new user name into the Login Name field.
Use a consistent naming convention, for example first initial and surname (RSMITH or JDOE). Do not use spaces, they will be converted to underscores (e.g JOHN_SMITH). All letters will be converted to Uppercase.
3.Enter their name or the System ID of their Person record into the Person field. This links the Person record to their user name. You may need to create a new Person record for them.
4.Enter a password at least 6 character long in the Password field. Users can then change their passwords by going to Tools > User Tools > Change Password.
5.Add the User to the Security Group they best fit into by using the Add button.
You can add a User to multiple Groups. The User's security rights will come from whichever group has the least restrictions.
6.Save the record.
