Create the Template in Vernon CMS
1.When finished with your edits in Microsoft Word, go to the View menu > Macros > View Macros.
2.Click on the "VSL_Produce_Report" macro and click Run.
3.If you would like to use your Word Merge template for use in the future, save the template by going to File > Save as.
Save it as a Word Macro-Enable Template (.dotm). You may be moved to the Custom Office Template folder when you select Word Macro Enabled Template.
Save your Word Merge template somewhere everyone at your organisation can access, like a shared drive. You can also save report templates to the Vernon Wincoll > Reports folder.
4.Open Vernon CMS, the Reporting window should still be open.
5.Click the Edit Report Template button.
6.Click the Formatting Options button
7.Choose the Use Existing Merge Layout Document button.
8.Click into the Document Filename field and click on the folder icon in that field.
9.Find where you had saved your template, select it and click Open.
If your template does not appear in the folder you saved it to, check that your File Explorer is not set to Word Documents. Change it to Document Templates.
10.Click OK.
11.Then click the Save Template button, and save your report in Portfolio.
