Double Ranges (Accession Number Format)

Scroll More

WHAT IT'S USED FOR:

Some accession numbers may have two segments in which ranges are allowed.

For example, the accession number '1999.123-125.a-b' includes two ranges (identified by the dashes), and applies to three two-part items accessioned as a single entity.

The Double Ranges check box enables the system to carry out accession number validation if ranges are present in two segments.

WHERE TO FIND IT:

The Definition Page of the Accession Number Formats window

HOW TO USE IT:

Check this box if the format has more than one segment in which Ranges are valid.
