WHAT IT'S USED FOR:
The Authority Field prompt allows you to specify the fields that Vernon Browser users will be able to search on. These fields will not be displayed within the records retrieved by users unless you have also specified them in the Export Fields page.

The Authority Fields window of the Vernon Browser Advanced Configuration window.
HOW TO USE IT:
Use the Options button 
to select up to 10 authority fields. Each of these fields must exist within the datafile specified in the Parameters page.
