Group and Member Movement Recording

Locating Group/Member records can be complicated. Location information could be entered for all records in the group or only for the Group Object record.

Objects in Vernon CMS are always moved individually and the movement of a group object record does NOT automatically trigger movements of all its members and sub-members (if any).

You may, therefore, wish to use the Disallow Movement switch in the Location window to restrict the movement of either the group or member objects. This will prevent an accidental change of location for one part of the record without a matching change for the other.

For example, for a bound portfolio of 20 prints you would probably disallow movement of each print individually, whereas for a conceptual (unbound) portfolio of 20 prints you would probably disallow movement for the portfolio.

The records in a group can be moved together by using the Bulk Move tool.
