You can run reports on a list that you have open by pressing the Report Button within List Manager. This will run the report of your choosing on your list.
You can also run a report on a saved list. Open the Reporting Tool, and in the Saved List field, enter the name of your saved list, or press the Options button 
to open Portfolio.
