Measurement Reading

Scroll More

Measurement Reading records the actual measurement of an object, packing unit, or person, e.g. 270 x 150 x 20mm or 1.8kg.

Measurement Reading for hazards or the Risk Management activity records the quantity of a hazardous substance within an object, set of objects, or collection. For example, grams of mercury, or percentage of asbestos.

Enter the reading in the format defined by the Measurement Type chosen. For example, if the Measurement Type is 'Dimensions (HxWxD)', enter the reading in the format height x width x depth, e.g. 270mm x 150mm x 20mm.

The primary display unit for that Measurement Type, e.g. millimetres or centimetres, will default into the field. For example, if the primary display unit is millimetres, 'mm' will default into the field at the end of the reading. If a secondary display unit is specified in the Measurement Type record, the reading will be converted and this secondary reading will display in brackets next to the primary reading.
